After almost 15 years of break, Primary Scholarship Exam has conducted in Bangladesh from April 15, 2026. As per the official report, over 6 lakh students from all over the country participated in the exam.
A total of 70 thousand students appeared in the Class Five scholarship examination under the Dhaka Board this year, accounting for 91.2 percent of registered candidates. However, 7,731 students, or 8.8 percent, did not sit for the exam. Board statistics also show that not all participating students took exams in every subject. Only 77,919 students appeared in all subjects, while around 10,030 candidates missed one or more papers. According to education board sources, Rajshahi Board recorded the second-highest number of examinees after Dhaka, with 43,660 students. Comilla and Dinajpur boards followed closely, with 40,219 and 40,231 examinees respectively, together accounting for over 23 percent of total candidates.
